"Felix, Bishop of Urgell, also known as Felix of Urzel (in Catalan: Fèlix d'Urgell, died in Lyon, 818) was a Christian bishop and theologian in the eighth century. Felix became Bishop at an unknown date and lived at the Monastery of Sant Sadurní de Tavèrnoles, in the foothills of the Pyrenees (Anserall, Les Valls de Valira, County of Urgell). He first came to prominence in 790, when his christological teachings were criticized as adoptionist by Alcuin. The Council of Frankfurt in 794 condemned his teachings as heretical. He was exiled from Urgell and died in Lyon in 818."
